The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives California residents the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. Similar rights apply in other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws.
2. What we consider a 'sale' or 'share'
CheckThemFirst does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. Certain analytics and advertising cookies may qualify as 'sharing' under CCPA. You can opt out below.
3. How to opt out
Email privacy@checkthemfirst.com from the address on your account with the subject line 'Do Not Sell or Share'. You may also submit a request through the Contact page. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and complete the request within 45 days.
4. Authorized agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written proof of authorization and may verify your identity before acting.
5. Additional rights
California residents also have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate data, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details on how to exercise those rights.
6. Non-discrimination
We will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your privacy rights.
